Speculative Design
Ecological Narrative
Experiential Interaction
Exploring how environmental behavior could shape life in a future Mars society.

Problem Space
Identifies the critical issues of dwindling plant resources and the high costs of cultivation, framed by the context of Earth's ecological collapse and the extreme, resource-scarce environment of Mars.

Research Foundations
Explores the profound physical and psychological toll of human-plant disconnection, while proposing the evolution of intelligent, genetically engineered flora to restore these essential bonds.

Design Framework
Introduces a speculative Martian plant ecosystem that explores how genetically engineered plants could adapt to extreme environments, develop sensory capabilities, and support human well-being in future Mars habitats.

System Outcomes
Implements a tiered experience architecture where access to multi-sensory plant environments is managed through a six-step process, leveraging Mars Environmental Credit (MEC) scores to reward sustainable user behavior.
